Effective date: July 21, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Sydo collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, app, campsite discovery tools, support channels, and related services.

Sydo is a campsite discovery and trip-planning service. The product helps users search campground availability, reason over trip preferences, and compare options. To provide that experience, Sydo may process information about destinations, dates, preferences, app interactions, and support communications.

This policy is intended to be clear and practical. It does not override rights you may have under applicable privacy laws.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

This may include your name, email address, support messages, feedback, campground preferences, saved destinations, travel dates, group needs, accessibility preferences, and other trip-planning details you choose to enter.

Search and planning content

Sydo may process natural-language prompts, selected destinations, campsite filters, date ranges, availability queries, and result interactions so the service can return useful campsite recommendations.

Technical and usage data

We may collect device type, browser or app version, operating system, IP address, approximate region, log data, timestamps, feature usage, diagnostic information, crash data, and performance metrics.

Third-party data

When Sydo connects to campground inventory or AI systems, we may receive structured availability, campground, or response data from third-party services that support the product.

Location Information

Sydo may use destination searches, campground names, map areas, manually entered locations, or approximate location derived from IP address to support trip planning. If the app requests precise device location in the future, we will ask through the operating system permission flow before accessing it. You can disable device location permissions in your device settings.

How We Use Information

Provide campsite search, recommendations, and trip-planning results.
Translate natural-language requests into structured campground searches.
Operate, debug, secure, and improve Sydo and its MCP-based tools.
Respond to support requests, feedback, privacy requests, and legal inquiries.
Analyze reliability, performance, usage patterns, and product quality.
Prevent abuse, fraud, spam, unauthorized access, and misuse of the service.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

AI and MCP Processing

Sydo may use AI systems and a Model Context Protocol server to interpret trip requests, call campsite availability tools, and produce user-facing recommendations. Prompts, search criteria, and tool results may be processed to provide and improve the service. Do not enter sensitive personal information, medical information, financial information, government identifiers, or private access credentials into trip-planning prompts.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers and infrastructure vendors that help us operate Sydo, including hosting, analytics, security, customer support, AI processing, and availability-data providers. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.

Campground availability and reservation flows may involve third parties such as Recreation.gov or campground operators. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Sydo may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to keep the service working, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve reliability. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, though some features may not work correctly.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and improve product quality. Retention periods may vary by data type. We may keep de-identified or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies you.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing of your personal information.
